Our 1st FV65 Award - The Brian Richardson Trophy is an annual award that was introduced for the 2021/2022 season.
Brian Richardson was widely regarded as “Mr East Yorkshire Cross Country” and was a truly dedicated organiser for Beverley AC over many years.
His involvement with the East Yorkshire Cross Country League began in its inaugural year in 1994. He led the league committee and served as League Secretary until his retirement from the role in 2014.
Brian was the backbone of the league, and the success it enjoys today is largely due to his dedication and commitment over those years.
He won the MV65 prize in the 2010/2011 series and last attended as a guest at the end-of-season presentation in 2024/2025.
