East Yorkshire Cross Country League invests in runner safety with new upgrades to the two-way radios

As we get ready for the 2026–27 East Yorkshire Cross Country League season, we’re delighted to introduce another important upgrade to our race equipment.  

Two years ago, we were gifted a surplus set of second hand professional two-way radios by a local company. The radios have made a real difference to the way we have been able to communicate around our courses and have made a great addition to our marshal kit.

Thanks to a very recent donation to the East Yorkshire Cross Country League we have been able to test and replace some of the damaged ariels and buttons on these radios making them now as reliable and effective as we need them to be.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to our generous donor for helping us make this possible. A small upgrade that will make a real difference to the way we can look after our runners out on the course.
